This site is dedicated to the many ambitious soles working in today's Emergency Departments - physicians, nurses, paramedics, medical students, and resident physicians alike. The Rules are a compilation of thirty years of my experience working at each of these levels of care. We have all enjoyed comparing experiences in our various levels of practice, and each of us develops our own rules to practice by. Through a tongue-in-cheek approach, my co-workers and students alike have enjoyed and learned from The Rules as they have taken shape over the years.
